news update 8-12-10
Summer is comming to an end and new opportunities have arisen for Richard. Richard has taken the next step toward becomming a NASCAR driver. To start August, Richard has parted ways with JD Motorsports where he has been the tire specialist for the past 2 years and joined Fast Track Racing, the team Richard drove for in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 2009. Richard is taking on the role of tire specialist and rear tire carrier for the #11 ARCA car. In addition, Richard will see action driving the second Fast Track Racing ARCA entry in 2010 beginning with the August 15th race at New Jersey Motorsports Park. This will also mark Richards road course debut in a full size stock car.

Richard made his second start in the Nascar Camping World Truck Series at Loudon, NH. The one mile track at Loudon was Richards next step up the ladder in a NCWT. His next goal will be to race on a mile and a half track. The #48 Truck team arrived on Thursday night and was hard at work by 6:00 AM on Friday morning. The garage area was action packed with the trucks linning up for tech inspection followed by fast paced ractice sesions. The action never stopped until 6:00 PM as there were 3 other racing series at the track for the weekend. The Sprint Cup Cars were running on Sunday. There were also Modifieds and a Nascar Touring Series running on Saturday with the trucks.

Saturday was kicked off again at 6:30 with qualifing at 10:00. Richard ran a very good lap and qualified 28th in the grid. Richard was shown on TV (Speed) and Michael Waltrip had some nice comments about Richards QF laps. The race was very fast with speeds up around 150 MPH and the weather was cool but sunny. Richard ran a clean race with 2 pit stops, one for fuel and one for 4 fresh tires. His goal for this race was to go as far as possible and get that all important pit stop experience. A big thanks goes out to his truck owner Andy Hillinberg and Crew Chief Dave McClure who was also Richards spotter for the race. Good Job Dave. RH Motorsports would also like to thank the Crew of the #8 truck driven by Dennis Setzer. The #8 Crew pitted Richard for his tire stop.

news update 7-30-09
On July 24, 2009 Richard made his 1st Nascar start as a rookie in the Camping World Truck Series. Richard drove the #48 CJ Lighting Services.com / RH Motorsports Chevy owned by Andy Hilinberg at ORP in Indiana. Richard was able to make 75 of the 200 laps including his first live pit stop under green. On track action was fast and furious and Richard was able to pas sseveral other trucks under green flag racing conditions. A great time was had by all thanks to Richards crew with Andy Hilinberg and his spotter and Dave McClure as crew chief. Richards performance, smooth driving style, and his respect for the other drivers on the track was noted. As a result, Richard's liscence was upgraded to one mile track status. On Saturday the 25th it was business as usual with Richard working on Mike Wallace and Danny O Quin Jr's Nationwide cars owned by Johnny Davis, JD Motorsports #0 and #01

RH Motorsports driver Richard Harriman has reached the 1 year mark in his journey into NASCAR's higher levels. In March of 2008 Richard moved to North Carolina to work for MacDonald Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Richard finished the 08 season also having worked for Kerr Motorsports in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, and Johhny Davis Motorsports back in the Nationwide Series. Over the winter off season Richard worked with former members of MacDonald Motorports at a new team called Rick Ware Racing. However in late January Richard found himself back at Johnny Davis Motorsports agreeing to be with the team for the entire 2009 season. Richard is now also just a small step away from racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Richard has been approved by NASCAR to run select races, and is now in the process of aquiring sponsorship and is in discussion with teams trying to pick a good fit for his opportunity to shine as a rookie in the series.

Richard Harriman has moved to North Carolina and has taken a job at MacDonald
Motorsports, a NASCAR Nationwide Series team.  After 6 weeks on the job, Richard went to his first races at Talladega and Richmond, and will continue to travel with the team as the tire specialist.
